OnPoynt offer Teacher Training Professional Development course to help teachers learn how to introduce drone technology to their students.
This training is for up to 5 teachers for 2 days.
Whether you are starting a STEM class, have an after-school robotics program or want to start a drone racing team of club at your school, OnPoynt can get you and your students ready to fly.
With over nine years of teaching and training both teachers and students, our staff has the experience and background to help them get the most out of this new and exciting technology.
Our program covers all of the basics and much more.
Objectives:
Building a quadcopter drone
Using software to configure the drone's flight controller
Learning some fun drone history
Looking at lessons and curriculum for teaching
Learning about drone components and how they fly
Understanding the current FAA rules on using drones in education
Learning how drone flight simulators work and how they add to the teaching experience
Getting hands-on flight training with our staff of experienced drone pilot instructors
Taking home materials on best practices, safety and the resources and references
OnPoynt's Professional Development program is set up so that every teacher come away from this course with the confidence to take drone technology into the classroom with all of the resources necessary and a full understanding of how they work and creative ways to teach.
OnPoynt is located in the Dallas metro area and we conduct several classes each summer.
