OnPoynt now offers the MAPIR line of drone cameras and sensors for Agriculture.

This new tool has applications in farming, ranching and other agriculture uses. It can even assess the health of your football field!

The Survey3 is the newest in our line of simple to use survey cameras. Every Survey3 camera includes an external USB GPS receiver to automatically geo-tag each captured image. Its 12MP sensor and sharp non-fisheye lens allows you to easily capture aerial media. It captures photos on the default timer trigger or can be sent a PWM signal through the HDMI port (see below). If you supply power to the USB port it will power on the camera automatically. Sized similar to a GoPro® Hero these small survey cameras can be attached to your aerial drone platform using our various mounts.

This Red+Green+NIR (RGN, NDVI) model sees Near Infrared 850nm, Red 660nm, and Green 550nm light. The images from this camera are commonly calibrated into an index image and then a colored lut is applied to show contrast between healthy and poor health vegetation.

The images can be processed with MAPIR Cloud (included-see bel;ow)  or Pix4D, Metashape, DroneDeploy OneButton, C3D, MapsMadeEasy, and other GIS software.

The Survey3 cameras have a faster interval timer: 1.5 seconds for JPG mode and 2.75 seconds for RAW+JPG mode. (Capture speed depends on the speed of the microSD card used). You can also trigger the photo capture using a PWM signal through the HDMI port (see triggering information below). PWM can also be used to mount the camera's memory card to a computer connected via USB.

MAPIR Cloud Software:

Also included is a one month subscription to the MAPIR Cloud software. This software allows for complete processing of images taken by your Survey 3 camera. MAPIR Cloud is an ideal solution for processing images from MAPIR cameras and other supported camera models. Powered by the popular Pix4Dengine photogrammetry solution and hosted online by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the easy-to-use cloud application produces results quickly and with great accuracy.

MAPIR cameras are designed to work with Pixhawk flight controller but can be flown and used on a larger variety of commercial off-the-shelf drones like the Mavic, Phantom and others.
