OnPoynt is excited to announce their Partnership with BonaDrone and offer the BonaDrone Mosquito Education Kit (Advanced Edition). OnPoynt is the nation’s leading supplier of drone aerial robotics equipment and training for STEM Education. The Mosquito Advanced Education Kit is intended for educators to introduce both 3D Printing and drone technology into the classroom safely and effectively.
The Kit includes the access to the 3D printing files and all of parts necessary to build and fly your Mosquito aerial robot drone. All tools, electronic components, build and operating instructions, safety equipment and classroom resources. Student teams can build and operate this aerial robot and experience a hands-on STEM challenge.

The Kit is recommended for ages 14 and above and outdoor use with one Kit per four to six students at intermediate to advanced level understanding of robotics, computer science or engineering.
The Advanced Mosquito Kit features a quadcopter drone with four motors, electronic speed controllers, a flight computer, and other required components. Included are two batteries, a charger, a remote controller-transmitter and building tools. The Advanced Mosquito can be assembled and disassembled for repeated use. It is GPS stabilized and offers many more advanced flight modes. Telemtry allows communication between you drone and your laptop for flight control or feeding back other data. Waypoint – GPS autonomous flight mode is also enabled.

Downloadable software along with the included USB computer– aircraft interface cable, allows students to configure, adjust and tune setting to the aircraft’s flight computer. You can also access and manipulate the flight computer’s programing code, adding to the STEM learning experience. These setting include sensor gains, calibrating the electronic compass, flight computer and the remote controller. This controller runs the APM systems and runs an open source programing language. This an advanced flight controller and requires student supervision for those under 18 years of age.
As an added safety feature, students can set up a “Return-To-Home and Land” (RTH) and other Fail Safes. You can set up a Geo-Fence to keep the drone in sight and avoid violating the 400’ FAA altitude rule.
The Advanced Mosquito Drone aerial robot can incorporate several optional devices that can enhance the learning experience and the fun. These include camera and monitor, a mechanical hook release and a gyro stabilized gimble for your action-camera.
